I bought a Mantis Tiller, July 6th 2008. Got it home, read the Owners manual, and inserted the DVD that came in the Plastic bag. Followed the Instructions on how to Start the machine. Let it warm up for about 2-3 Min. Put the Tiller in the Vegtable Garden, and it backed up on me. Ran into my Calf, and then stalled as one of the tines stuck in my Calf. 75 Stitches in my Calf, and the only thing that really saved me, was the fact that the engine stalled. This threw me backwards, and I lost balance. If not for the Engine stalling, this could have run up my whole body, and REALLY done Serious dammage .

The problem was, the Handle Bars were installed BACKWORDS, so the machine was operating in reverse. The Hardware Store I purchased the machine from claims Mantis sends the Machine pre-assembled and all they do is put on the TOP part of the Handelbars. Calls to Mantis has proved nothing more than a question and answer session. Mantis claims they will have an Engineer call me and talk about this Serious Flaw in their Quality Process. So far no calls back from Mantis as of 8-17-2008.

I am not a Suing type of person, but this REALLY frosts my Cake, I am trying to stop a Serious flaw in their Quality and Inspection process, you would think that they would want a detailed overview, from someone in charge.

In any case, just on the notion that someone will ever see this, PLEASE make sure, if you buy a Mantis Tiller that the Product Name is on the FRONT on the Tiller, and the Gas Tank is in FRONT of the Machine. PLEASE take this as a Serious Warning
